Notenpult

NutzungsbedingungenTerms of use

Stand: Oktober 2026

§ 1 Geltungsbereich

§ 1 Scope

(1) These terms of use apply to the use of the Notenpult app (Windows, Android, web app) and the website notenpult.imb24.com, including downloads and updates. The provider is imb24 GmbH, Gassebrehe 49, 49170 Hagen a.T.W., Germany (hereinafter “imb24”; further details in the imprint).

(2) Notenpult is meant for consumers and businesses alike. No account or registration is needed.

(3) The Notenpult software is licensed under the MIT License (Copyright © 2026 imb24 GmbH). The license governs what you may do with the software (use, copy, modify, distribute); these terms govern the provision by imb24 and take precedence over the MIT License regarding warranty and liability (§ 5). Notenpult contains third-party open-source components; the app shows their licenses under Settings › About › Open-source licenses.

§ 2 Free of charge

(1) Notenpult is free. imb24 charges no fee and requires no data in return for the app, the downloads and the updates.

(2) There are currently no paid features. Should imb24 offer paid licenses or features in the future, this will only happen under a separate agreement that you expressly conclude and whose price and conditions you are informed about beforehand. Versions already provided will not become chargeable retroactively.

§ 3 Services, updates, changes and discontinuation

(1) The features are those of the respective version of the app. There is no claim to particular features, bug fixes, updates or to the availability of the website, the downloads or the update information.

(2) Updates are voluntary; you decide whether and when to install them. New versions may change data formats. Devices that share data should therefore be updated together; older versions may not read data written by newer ones.

(3) imb24 may change or discontinue the app, the website, the downloads and the update information at any time. An installed app keeps working offline; your data stays on your devices.

(4) Features that use third-party services (e.g. Google Drive, WebDAV servers, Bluetooth or MIDI devices) depend on those services. Their use is subject to the respective provider's terms.

§ 4 Your responsibility

(1) Rights to sheet music: You are responsible for being allowed to use the sheet music, texts, images and audio files you import, edit, export or share with others in Notenpult in that way. Notenpult does not and cannot check rights to sheet music. Please note that under German copyright law, copying sheet music – even for private use – generally requires the rights holder's consent (Section 53(4) UrhG) unless an exception applies or the music is in the public domain.

(2) Groups: When you share sheet music or other content in a group, you make it available to the other members. Only share content the group may use, and only personal data of others that you may pass on. imb24 is not involved in this exchange and does not receive the content.

(3) Backups: Your data lives only on your devices. Make backups regularly (Settings › Library) and keep them safe – backups are not encrypted.

(4) Performances: Software and devices can fail (e.g. empty battery, operating system update, defect). Keep a fallback ready for important performances, such as a second device or printed music.

§ 5 Warranty and liability

(1) Because Notenpult is provided free of charge, imb24 is liable for defects of the software (in particular errors, data loss or failures during a performance) only if imb24 fraudulently concealed the defect.

(2) Otherwise imb24 is liable only for intent and gross negligence. Liability where a guarantee has been given, under the German Product Liability Act and any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law remains unaffected.

(3) For data loss imb24 is liable – if at all under paragraphs 1 and 2 – only up to the effort that restoring the data would have required with regular backups (§ 4(3)).

(4) imb24 is not responsible for third-party content and services you use with Notenpult (sheet music, links, cloud providers).

§ 6 Data protection

How Notenpult and this website handle data is described in the privacy policy.

§ 7 Changes to these terms

imb24 may change these terms of use for the future, for example when the app or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies; for a version already installed, the version published at the time of download applies until you install an update.

§ 8 Final provisions

(1) The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the country of your habitual residence.

(2) The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Osnabrück, Germany, if you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, or have no general place of jurisdiction in Germany.

(3) Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid. The statutory provision replaces the invalid provision.

(4) The German version of these terms of use is legally binding.
